International Workshop (IW3)

Last modified: 2015. April 24.

The Centre for International Relations organized the third International Week between 14th – 16th April 2015, which provided opportunities for the participants for international networking and to share knowledge in the field of mobility, internationalization and academic cooperation. These events were financed by the International Accessibility Development Program of Eszterházy Károly University of Applied Sciences (TÁMOP 4.1.2.D-12/1/KONV-2012-0002.).

The aim of the third International Week was to renew and establish partner relations, emphasize the importance of the role of libraries in internationalization and exchange academic experience of mobility and internationalization in general. The guests were encouraged to hold institutional presentations besides participating in other sections.
After the official welcome the audience got insight into programs and scholarships supporting internationalization by presenters Bettina Ugrósdy-Beregi, coordinator of Tempus Public Foundation, and Prima Dona Hapsari from Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta.
Our guests had the chance to participate in other sections of the third International Week: academic program development, institutional promotion and marketing, mobility trends in internationalization. Two projects were introduced during the week: RePCI New Models and Methods in University-Company Co-operation presented by Dr. Péter Bikfalvi, while Jan Folkert Deinum introduced the SoNetTe project to the audience.
It was our honour to hold the very first meeting of Hungarian Canadianists where participants discussed the actual plans, goals and upcoming conferences.
Above all, the sections about internationalization of libraries made the third International Week really unique. Guests from Hungarian libraries were able to share their experience and views on the role of libraries in internationalization nowadays.
The goal of the third International Week was to emphasize the importance of internationalization and its activities, strengthen co-operative relations and broaden the opportunities of our students and colleagues.
