The incoming students who arrived in January had the chance to participate in the Orientation Days held on 29th and 30th January, organised by the Mobility Office and the Office of Intercultural Communication and Language Services. Apart from the Tunisian and Brazilian students, our new Erasmus students are from 8 different countries: Belgium, Portugal, Romania, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Turkey. 

The first day of the Orientation Days started with an introduction to the institution that was followed by various presentations about study-related issues, services for international students, the extracurricular activities and the local organisation of the Erasmus Student Network student association. In the afternoon, the program continued with the so-called Survival Tour where the student had to complete a fun and very useful task in smaller groups, assisted by Hungarian student mentors. The objective was to walk around the city and find the answers related to a certain topic by asking local people on the street. Meanwhile the student mentors showed the most important places in town such as ATM machines, pharmacies, student clubs, bus stations and so on. The groups shared their experiences, answers and funny photos with the other groups during a pleasant closing event and traditional Hungarian dinner at a local restaurant. 

The second day of the Orientation Days started with a team-building session with the aim to get to know each other better. The programme was followed by an interactive intercultural training including brainstorming about cultural differences, similarities and culture shock. After a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, the students visited the main building of the university called Lyceum that is also a famous tourist site and visited the library, the Chapel and the Ceremony Hall.
