First, thanks to a short presentation, the students could learn about winter traditions in Hungary, especially about the origin of Santa Claus/Mikulás day. Then, they sang a well known Hungarian Santa Claus song in Hungarian. When finally Santa arrived, they sang for him Christmas carols, such as "Jingle Bells" in their mother tongues: Arabic, French, Turkish and Vietnamese as well! Santa Claus was so grateful he gave them presents: everyone received a small package of sweets.
During the evening, students had the opportunity to taste traditional Hungarian Christmas sweets and candies, and then they could enjoy themselves with singing together, and playing the guitar.
