Last modified: 2016. March 18.

Anita Molnar, mobility coordinator and Judit Tóth, intercultural coordinator/teacher of the Institute for Foreign Languages and Communication participated in a one day training organised by AFS Academy in the European Youth Centre of Budapest on 19 February 2016.

AFS is a 100 year old international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organisation that focuses on youth exchange programs between 80 different countries. AFS holds an international training event called AFS Academy in every second year and this time it was organised in Budapest between the 10th-20th February, with a large variety of programs and trainings.

The What Every Person Should Know About Intercultural Learning training course was offered to Hungarian HE staff working with international students and it aimed to give the participants an essential understanding of intercultural basics and hands-on strategies they can use directly while working with the cultural differences.
The training strengthened both the theoretical knowledge and the intercultural attitude of the participants and was useful regarding their every day work with international students.
