On 21st September 2015, the Vice President and staff of Beijing Union University were welcome at Eszterházy Károly University of Applied Sciences.
The meeting focused on future cooperation possibilities between the two higher education institutions. Dr Kálmán Liptai, Rector of EKU emphasized the importance of Asian relations of EKU beyond many European partner institutions. "It is important to seek cooperation possibilities with universities that provide the highest level of education services. As teacher training is one of our main priorities, I think it is worth to examine how this field is managed in different institutions..."
The establishment of such long term cooperations is especially important for EKU nowadays, as a wide international network can largely support the institution's ongoing transition into a strong university.
