Exploring the capital city and its surroudings

During the spring semester, a large group of international students studying in Eger and in Gyöngyös Campus, participated in two study tours organized within the frameworks of the Hungarian Culture and Intercultural Awareness course.

The first one day trip (Friday 29 March) the group visited the Hungarian capital.
The program started by sightseeing in Hero's Square, then the group had a guided tour in the Houses of Parliament. In the afternoon the students went to Buda Castle District and Gellért Hill where they could enjoy the breathtaking panorama of our capital and the sunny spring weather.


On Friday 3 May, the students went on a second study tour in order to get more familiar with the old historical city of Székesfehérvár and its surroundings.
The program started by the visit of the romantic Bory Castle. Then, the group visited the historical city center. They have seen the most important sights, among them Saint Stephen's sarcophagus. the Hámori and the hanging gardens of the Palace Hotel.
In the late afternoon, the group had a stop at Gárdony,-birthplace of Géza Gárdonyi at Velence Lac and also visited the house where the famous writer was born.
During the two trips, the students could see many beautiful sites and learn a lot about the Hungarian culture.
