Last modified: 2016. November 04.

On 21 October 2016 some of the international students from the Eger Campus of Eszterházy Károly University participated at a trip to Budapest. The trip was organized within the frameworks of the Hungarian Culture course and the program focused on the national holiday of 23 October.

The first program in Budapest was visiting the House of Parliament. The group of 49 students representing 15 nations was impressed by the Hungarian Holy Crown and the Coronation Insignia, the Upper House Hall and the whole building in general. After a short lunch break the group visited the House of Terror Museum where, with the help of the English language guidance, they explored the 20th century history of Hungary. Students coming from all over the world learned a lot about the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 through the exhibition on the 60th anniversary of the Revolution.

The program ended in Heroes' Square where Judit Tóth, teacher of Hungarian Culture introduced some further events and major characters of Hungarian history.
