Natural beauties of Miskolc and Lillafüred

On Friday 12 May a large group of international students participated in a one day study tour in order to get more familiar with the city of Miskolc and its surroundings.

The trip was organized by Ms. Judit Tóth, teacher and intercultural coordinator, and Ms. Anita Molnár, mobility coordinator also joined the group. It was the second time that our students from Eger Campus and Gyöngyös Campus have explored the natural beauties and the cultural heritage in a common trip. The 40 students represented all together 17 nations.


The program started by the visit of the Medieval Knight Castle of Diósgyőr. The students have really enjoyed the guided tour in English during which they could learn a lot about the everyday life of Hungarian kings and queens and they could also enjoy a fight -performance by a group from Debrecen. Then, we went to Lillafüred and within the frameworks of a guided tour, the students could discover the St. Steven Stalactites Cave which really impressed everyone.
In the late afternoon, the students visited the city centre of Miskolc. During all this day, the students could see many beautiful sites and learn a lot about the Hungarian history.
