GETTING TO EGER BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT / COACH

It takes only 2 hours to get to Eger from Budapest by bus. Getting to the station from the airport is about 30 minutes from the airport.

From Stadion Bus Station there are buses to Eger every 30 minutes between 05.00 and 22.45. You can buy the ticket at the cashier (they accept card or cash) max. 30 minutes before the bus leaves, then only on the bus (cash only!).

Getting to Stadion Bus Station from the Airport:

- By public transport: From 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., bus number 200E commutes between Terminal 2 and the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal (metro line M3). From the Kőbánya-Kispest metro terminal, you take the M3 metro line towards Újpest Központ. At Deák Ferenc tér change to M2 metro line in direction of Örs Vezér tere to reach the Puskás Ferenc Stadion (for the bus station) or the city centre.

From 11:00 p.m.to 1:00 a.m. bus 200E, from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. night bus number 900 operates between Budapest Airport Terminal 2 and the South Pest bus garage. It is possible to change to night buses 950 and 950A, operating to the inner city.
