Action plan for Scholarship Holders
Before Arrival:
- Submitting the missing documents till 1st of August
- Applying for visa
- Accepting the scholarsip
- Read the Operational Regulations
- Read the institutional Code of Studies and Exams
- Neptun registration and course enrollment
- COVID-19 Procedures regarding the rules of entering Hungary (will be updated as soon as possible)
Your academic year at Eszterházy Károly University follows a schedule of important dates. You are responsible for knowing and meeting all deadlines indicated in the academic calendar, including fee payment dates and course add/drop dates.
After Arrival:
- Moving in the dormitory in the beginning of the semester (September/February) Address: 3300 Eger, Leányka út 2.
Unless requested other way scholarship holders are accomodated in the university dormitory
2021/22 covid-19 move in requirements will be uploaded as soon as possible
Coronavirus information - Attending the Orientation Days
- Finalising course registration in Neptun
- Attending classes
- Administrative duties: Students have to fulfil and undergo the following administrative tasks and processes after arrival:
- Residence permit (Immigration Office: 3300 Eger, Grónay Sándor utca 3.)
- Bank account (any Hungarian bank) Residence permit is required
- Tax number

- Hungarian social security number (TAJ card) and additional medical insurance (National Health Insurance Fund address in Eger: Klapka út 1.) For more information please click here - Registration: Students have to present the original copies of their academic qualifications, along with passport, residence permit, tax number and Hungarian social security number at the international office (Address: 3300 Eger, Egészségház út 4. Room 117)
- Signing the Scholarship Agreement at the international office
Scholarship payment:
Please note that in order to receive your scholarship first you have to open a Hungarian bank account (any Hungarian bank) and get a tax identification number as soon as possible (your student mentors will assist you) after arrival. The scholarship for the first two months are paid in the beginning of October. You can check your present and future scholarship payouts in your Neptun account ( Finances > Scholarships, Payouts).
In administratives issues first year students can contact the members of the local Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor Network.
