Computer Science BSc
General objectives of the programme
The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics offers a six-semester bachelor degree programme in Computer Science. Students in the programme will learn the principles of software design and development. Topics such as database management, design and analysis of algorithms, computer graphics and the fundamentals of artificial intelligence are also among the mandatory courses. The special focus of the degree programme is program development for mobiles. On completion of the programme successful students will be IT professionals who, possessing a solid theoretical grounding, are capable of implementing their skills in different areas. Graduates will be able to perform a variety of tasks relating to software development such as software engineering, software testing, web and mobile development, database design and computer networking.
Career Options: software engineering is one of the most in demand professional fields in Europe therefore there is a real need for competent and well trained specialists. The graduates will be able to work in application and web development, database design and management and design and maintenance of computer networks.

Visual Representation BA
General objectives of the programme
The programme aims to train professionals who have a thorough theoretical and practical understanding of, on the one hand, traditional and contemporary visual representation and electronic representation, motion picture culture and media on the other hand. These professionals have a complex view on gathering information in traditional and digital world including the traditional, digital and interactive manifestations of visual representation in ordinary artistic fields. These professionals are able to study and autonomously utilize visual language and its ways of expression. On the basis of their competence, they have a thorough theoretical and practical understanding of professional work and conducting a practice. They are ready to continue their studies at Master's level.
Students with a BA degree have good employment opportunities: besides individual artistic activities, they can work as book illustrators, organizers or mediators of social, cultural and artistic fields. They are ready to continue their studies at Master's level.
Nature Art Specialization:
Nature art aims to recreate harmony with nature. This particular artistic activity is based on a direct physical contact with nature which includes natural materials, objects, energies and places. Time appears as a tangible concept in the finite pieces: the piece exists in the cyclical change of nature.
During studio work and material working, students use handicraft techniques such as drawing off, spinning, knitting, etc. They apply machine-aided work as well. In addition to studio work, there are some practices in the cave apartments in Noszvaj but students will participate in other shops and nature art events as well.

Music Culture BA
General objectives of the programme
The Department of Music offers a six-semester bachelor degree programme, where students study and experience a blend of Hungarian music education tradition and a 21th century approach to music education and performance practice.
While becoming knowledgeable in the methods and principles of the Kodály concept, students can become members of the faculty ensembles (sing in our award-winning choir, play in chamber music formations and light music bands) and develop their vocal/instrumental skills. Also, at our Computer Music specialisation, students acquire the essential knowledge for a skilled, contemporary musicianship.
We are proud of our acclaimed faculty, some of us give concerts all over the world, are prize winning composers and choir leaders, or theatre music specialists and leading music historians. Come and be part of the Eszterházy music community, enjoy our beautiful halls and unique location.
Applicants have to present their portfolio (C.V., previous musical background; sound track of the applicants vocal/instrumental skill).

Business Administration and Management
General objectives of the programme
The Institute of Business Studies offers a seven-semester degree programme in Business Administration and Management that provides students with an in-depth theoretical background in the economic, social and applied economic issues relating to business administration, enabling them to plan and analyse the procedures of business organisations and institutions and perform management, entrepreneurial and organisational tasks.The course provides comprehensive knowledge of leadership skills, controlling, finance, taxation, logistics, and corporate business. This practice oriented programme enables students to familiarise them selves with actual systems utilised by companies in their day-to-day operations as well as at the strategic and operation levels. Successful students will be equipped with wide-ranging knowledge and relevant experience providing them with excellent opportunities on the labour market in either the governmental or the private sector.

International Studies MA
General objectives of the programme
The Department of Political Science offers a four-semester master degree programme in International Relations with a focus on the relationship between global, regional and national ideas and policies of the world. The Programme discusses the fundamental theoretical and practical issues in international politics and diplomacy; it provides students with in-depth, contextual and interdisciplinary knowledge of these issues.
Two academic specialization are available in English:
• Transitology (if you are interested in studying about the political, economic and social transitions /regime changes/ happened in South Europe, in Latin-America, or in Central and Eastern Europe).
• European Studies: Equal Opportunities in Europe (an academic specialization for the students who are interested in the contemporary social and cultural processes of Europe as well as the issue of equal chances).

American Studies MA
General objectives of the programme
The aim of the program is to prepare graduates with an advanced level of familiarity with North American history, culture, literature, and society along with the correlations between American English and the structure of American society and culture. Graduates can choose a regular track or an American Business Communication specialization.

Management and Leadership MA
General objectives of the programme
This four-semester course trains business and public sector professionals who have achieved a sound and integrated professional knowledge in specific areas of management. Graduates will acquire the abilities to analyse, plan, and manage the workflows of private and public sector organisations. They will be able to detect, analyse and solve problems employing concepts relating to individual and organisational learning as well as utilising innovative and creative thinking skills. Those completing the programme will have knowledge sufficient for progress to PhD level. Applicants are eligible to apply if they hold a bachelor degree in the field of business adminitsration and managament or earned at least 30 ECTS credits in the field of business or management.

Geography MSc
General objectives of the programme

If you could not decide whether natural science or social science is matches your future career, then we have the perfect option for you. If you are uncertain whether you want to have a more complex understanding of local processes or you are more interested in global changes, do not hesitate. Our Geographer training covers both areas and provides specialized knowledge to help you learn as thoroughly as possible about the complex relationship of the human society and the environment. The Institute of Geography and Environmental Sciences of the University of Eszterházy in Eger provides you with the most up-to-date knowledge and skills in addition to historical sights. The aim is to train such geographers, who can understand the features of geographical processes, and can characterize natural, environmental and social phenomena. We provide practical knowledge to our students by working with geographic information systems, statistical tools, qualitative assessment and survey methods. During their studies our geographer students have the chance to work as experts in their field, both independently and as members of multi-professional teams. Once they finished their studies, our students are prepared to meet the expectations of the XXI. century by sharing and presenting their knowledge and skills.

Pre-School Teaching BA
General objectives of the programme

The aim of this 3-year bachelor program is to educate and train pre-school teachers who are equipped with decent professional literacy and knowledge. They possess sophisticated teaching capabilities, self-awareness as well as people's knowledge to create engaging and age-appropriate learning environment. They are capable of keeping full focus on the children and show positive attitudes towards them. They are able to cooperate with the children's families and various stakeholders in society and to apply the best teaching practices in a variety of educational environments. They have the competencies for transferring universal and national values. The courses focus on early childhood education from psychological and pedagogical aspects, language development, the role of play, foundations of literacy, arts, music, mathematics and science, intercultural issues and research in early education
